Officials and collaborators of the National Commission of Banks and Insurance (CNBS) join the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence, a campaign that seeks to raise awareness, prevent and eradicate violence against women and girls. This celebration began on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and culminates on December 10, International Human Rights Day.
Under the coordination of the Gender Committee of the CNBS, an exercise of support and backing for this campaign was carried out today, which consisted of capturing the handprints of men and women who work in this entity and with this voluntary action the rejection of all forms of violence against women was configured. to make visible the awareness of this social problem, which deserves to be eradicated urgently.
This year the colors of the campaign were; purple, turquoise blue, pink and purple, shades that the employees of the CNBS wore, as a sign of their inescapable commitment to the fundamental principles for the elimination of aggressive conduct against women and girls in all areas within our society.
All participants received from the organizers, diligent reading on activism against women and girls and a cookie commemorating the activity.
Background: This campaign, initiated by activists within the Institute for Women’s Global Leadership at its inauguration in 1991, is a strategy carried out by individuals and organizations around the world to demand the prevention and elimination of violence against this sector of the population.
