The Comisión Nacional de Bancos y Seguros (CNBS), On September 27, 2023, exchanged knowledge on the “Roadmap that the institution carried out for the financial inclusion of women in the Honduran financial system” with the Banco Central de Reserva (BCR) de El Salvador, in which seven (7) BCR officials participated, the outstanding presence of Ms. Zaira Badillo, Head of the Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) and Ms. Marcela Herrera, Manager of Education and Financial Inclusion and Gender of the CNBS.
In the development of the topic, Ms. Herrera addressed points such as: the tools implemented to make a diagnosis or measurement of the gender gap in the Honduran financial system, the mechanisms to establish the actions to be developed to promote the financial inclusion of women, main and strategic actors to execute financial inclusion actions and the treatment for the different groups of women.
